Former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried has been arrested in the Bahama by the Royal Bahamas Police, a culmination of a loud campaign to make him stand trial for his crimes.

The entrepreneur has been in the headlines for a long as the billionaire founder of the crypto exchange FTX but dropped into the river of infamy when the exchange collapsed, leading to a loss of funds by investors.

At the time of the FTX collapse, Sam Bankman-Fried was free, going about his day like nothing happened. This reality infuriated a lot of crypto enthusiasts, including the influencer Bit Boy, who asked his Twitter followers if some of them were willing to join him to protest in the Bahamas and forced the authorities to arrest him and put him behind bars.

Well, Sam Bankman-Fried is now in the bag and possible extradition stares him in the face, according to multiple reports.

The Ministry of Legal Affairs in the Bahamas released a statement about Sam Bankman-Fried’s arrest, noting that it received formal notification from the United States government that it had filed criminal charges against him.
